What Saith God About Homosexuality?

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:18)

What is Homosexuality?
The word that we use today as "homosexuality" is composed by two words: homo- (from the Greek homos, meaning one and the same) and from the Latin "Sexualis" that means "sex, gender".  The normal definition of this term is: "attraction and sexual activity between two persons of the same sex".  In the Greek there is the  word "arsenokoites" that describes the sodomite activity. 

In these last days homosexuality is rampant and increasing exponentially.  It is seen everywhere, starting from the "gay Pride" marches in the metropolitan cities of the word to TV shows and in churches and schools.  Is so widespread that even the churches are paralysed by fear to speak against it in terror of being labelled 'non democratic' and anti-humane. In fact, it is democracy that has given a powerful stimulus to the irreversible growth of homosexuality. Now, we even have protestant bishops openly declaring themselves homosexual.  Recently in the American Episcopal church a divorced man with two children and openly declared homosexual has been appointed to the position of bishop, no doubt more will follow.  And woes and anathemas to you if you speak against this abomination: the media, the legal system and society and even the church are just too ready to crucify you. 

But the worse thing is that there are persons and churches that even tough they declare themselves "christian" interpret the Bible as if It approved homosexuals. Generally their line is that the Bible was written for THOSE days, but now God is enlarging the human view.  Enlarging, I could possible even assent, but negating and turning upside down what God has revealed previously is too much.  Here we are overturning the whole pie, for God says: For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (Malachi 3:6) The purposes and the Law of God do not change, otherwise God would not be God anymore and besides, who could trust Him: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17) 

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)

Let us now look at the classical progression of the great civilizations, to see where our society is placed.

Obviously our "civilization" is in the final period, i.e. Decadence and Decline.

What saith Scripture about Homosexuality?
The Bible is against homosexuality.  The Biblical Christian seeks the Truth in the Word of God, as written, and that fixes the matter forever. Surely those who are well versed with The Bible and are inspired of God would never say that this Holy Book condones. or even approves homosexual activities.  Preachers that sponsor the homosexual life do not know the Bible very well and are not inspired and do not believe on what is written on It. Both OT and NT present abundant proof on how God considers this evil and terrible sin.

Homosexuality is against nature.  God told both Adam and Noah "be fruitful, multiply and fill up the earth".  If Adam and Noah and their sons has adopted a total homosexual life, the human race would have come to an end. 

In the study of the Bible there is a agreed principle of "First mention" that sets the meaning of something for the whole Bible, from that point onwards. For example in Genesis, the Book of beginnings, when the meaning of Homosexuality is mention, that meaning is valid for the rest of the Bible.  Example: But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. (Genesis 13:13), This leaves us without any possible doubt on the reason of Sodom's notoriety.  Sodom is the first mention of Homosexuality in the Bible. 

God revealed to Abraham that He would have utterly destroyed Sodom for this reason: And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; (Genesis 18:20). But God in His longsuffering mercy sent two angels to save from destruction Lot and his family, but during the night the men (males) of Sodom surrounded the house of Lot and cried out: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. (Genesis 19:5) 

It is clear (from another 'First Principle') the the Bible very often uses the word "know" to describe the sexual act between individuals: And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain,  .... (Genesis 4:1)  And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: .... (Genesis 4:17)

The same meaning is given in the NT when: 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (Matthew 1:24-25)

The modernists say that the word "know" in this contest means only to be acquainted with a person personally for the first time, but exactly the context proves them incorrect for Lot offered his virgin daughter in sexual connotation, not for the men to be acquainted with.  To know them as persons? Certainly not, for Lot says "which have not known man" and besides, they were acquainted with the girls already for they lived in the same city. And then,  to be acquainted in the middle of the night?  Ridiculous. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. (Genesis 19:8)  To note: "which have not known man", what does it mean? This speaks of virgins to be given for sex, but the men were not interested in the women, eve though virgins. 

The males of Sodom wanted men, for they were sodomite, i.e. homosexuals, and even when blinded by the angels, these evil men gropingly tried to find the door of Lot's house till they tired out: And they struck the men at the door of the house with blindness, from the small to the great; and they struggled to find the door. (Genesis 19:11)

Anyone reading Gen 19 can honestly see the attitude of God towards the practice of homosexuality: And Jehovah rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Jehovah out of the heavens. (Genesis 19:24)  These verses are referred to by: Isaiah, Jeremiah and other prophets and Jesus Himself for He recognized the OT as from God.  These are also used as example of God's judgment by: Jesus, Peter and Jude in the NT.

The Law of God forbids homosexuality  and it clearly spelled out in : Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

The Law prescribes death for this abominable sin: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)  

For this awful sin God ordained the full destruction of various nations that lived in Canaan (besides Sodom and Gomorrah).  Not only he told Israel to destroy them but said He would help to do it.  Modernists, even admitting that it is written so, negates that this is from God, and thus confuting the veracity of the Bible, it this were at all possible. And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: (Deuteronomy 7:2)

And Jehovah your God shall deliver them up before you, and destroy them with a great destruction until they are exterminated. (Deuteronomy 7:23)

Why did God ordained these nations to utter destruction?:  22 And you shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is a perversion. 23 And you shall not give your semen with any animal, for uncleanness with it. And a woman shall not stand before an animal to lie down with it; it is a shameful mixing. 24 Do not defile yourself with all these, for with all these the nations have been defiled, which I am casting out before you; 25 and the land is defiled, and I will visit its iniquity on it; and the land is vomiting out its inhabitants; (Leviticus 18:22-25) 

And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. (Leviticus 20:23)

One day I met with the mayor of my village, we are of the same age, and between one thing an another he mentioned to me, rather depressed: "I do not understand what is happening, it looks like as nature is rebelling against man".  I was about to give him the answer from God, but as soon as he realized it was religious he cut me off, for he is communist.  Unfortunately, for mankind, the earth is vomiting them out for all the evil done all over it. 

Do the right thing in front of God.
Judah itself, during the reign of Rehoboam, did not do what was right in the eyes of God and was condemned:  And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (1 Kings 14:24)

But the kings that confronted homosexuality according to the divine method did what was right in front of God. :

Asa: 11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, like his father David. 12 And he removed the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers made. (1 Kings 15:11-12 )

Jehoshaphat: And he took out of the land the rest of the sodomites which remained in the days of his father Asa. (1 Kings 22:46)

Josiah: And he broke down the houses of the male prostitutes that were in the house of Jehovah, where the women were weaving houses for Asherah. (2 Kings 23:7)

The churches, the denominations, the preachers, the teaches, that defend, condone or excuse and even support homosexuality do not do what is right in front of God. 

Modernists have yet another line in trying to minimise the Word of God, for they say that the verses against homosexuality are really referring to male temple prostitutes.  By this they mean that these are condemned not the practice of homosexuality between consenting adults in private as if they were not practicing the same abominable sin.  Methinks that we really have escaped from reason.

Gods has abandoned them: In Romans 1 homosexuality is presented as the end of the road.  It is the lowest level of human depravity: 21 Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became foolish 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things. 24 Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves, (Romans 1:21-24 )

26 Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. 27 And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error. (Romans 1:26-27 )

Do you know where Aids began?  Do you know why Aids is so prevalent in Africa? Perhaps you my know brother Andrews, in one of his reports he was lamenting sadly that the problem of Africa is more deep than reported.  The reason is that the inhabitants are immerse in insatiable promiscuity, both homosexual as heterosexual and in all the other possible variations.  He considers it an incurable sore.

Aids showed itself up firstly in homosexuals, and you know that many of these join up sexually with more that 200 partners in a year, and they are very proud of this feat.  Now, of course, Aids is everywhere for many homosexuals are also bisexual and passed Aids on to woman and children.  It was the homosexuals that introduced and spread Aids in the world, even if they negate this, of course. 

Should homosexuality be punished?
Absolutely. The civil government has the duty to condemn and punish those who practice this abominable practice. Not only because the Bible demands it but also because society has to defends itself against destructive crimes.  This activity is not a private matter at all, for those who practice it go also after our sons, as drug pushers do.  (and do not tell me that it is not so, for we all have had such experience in our life).

The facts, even proved by science are that homosexuality is learned and not genetic, even though the sodomites and society would want you to believe otherwise, so to claim: "it is not my fault, therefore I am clean".  But the Lord condemns them in His word.  Who will you believe: God or man? Let it not be! But let God be true, and every man a liar; ... (Romans 3:4)

Let us hear from God's Word: 8 And we know that the Law is good, if anyone uses it lawfully, 9 knowing this, that law is not laid down for a righteous one, but for lawless and undisciplined ones, for ungodly and sinful ones, for unholy and profane ones, for slayers of fathers and slayers of mothers, for murderers, 10 for fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and if any other thing opposes sound doctrine, (1 Timothy 1:8-10)

According to Scripture, homosexuality should be illegal as for homicide, fornication and everything else contrary to sane doctrine. 

Have homosexuals need of love and comprehension?
Homosexuals have need of truth, more than anything else: And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)  The homosexual needs to understand that (like all of us) is born with a sinful nature, but is not born homosexual.  The devil, the world and themselves want to make us believe that they were born homosexuals, and that there is nothing they can do to change.  But this is a big lie, what they want with this is to be approved and accepted as "normal" in this abominable practice. Instead what they need is to be told that homosexuality is not a sickness but a SIN of which the must repent of. 

To promote, encourage and participate in homosexual acts is grave offence against God.  Homosexual Pastors/Elders and homosexual churches must be particularly offensive to God, especially when they promote homosexuality and confirm homosexuals in their sins, whilst representing God, allegedly.   Rather to be encouraged in their sin, homosexuals need to be proclaimed this: Therefore, repent, and convert, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from the face of the Lord, (Acts 3:19)

Saving Grace and the homosexual.
Some, using these words  "God gave them up" presume that homosexuals cannot be saved.  Obviously homosexuality is not the 'unpardonable sin' and we know that the Lord Jesus has died for ALL sins of his Own people: And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

But at the same time we say quickly that the homosexual really converted to the Lord will not remain as such for he will promptly repent of that abominable sin and he will reject it completely.  This means that the concept of a "homosexual Christian" is impossible. 

These verse would render impossible the salvation of homosexuals: 9 Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

if they were not followed by: And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11)  In repenting they will reject this heinous sin in receiving the Grace of God. 

Here is then the Truth: some in he church of Corinth had been sodomites, but they were so no more, having been washed, sanctified and justified by the Lord. They did not practiced this abominable sin anymore, indeed they rejected it, and were saved not to stop it, but from this sin. 

For this reason, speaking of "homosexual churches" and "homosexual pastors/elders" and "homosexual marriages" is a contradiction of terms for even though they call themselves as such, they are not converted to God because if they were so they would not call themselves homosexual.  This denomination is absurd, it is absurd, nonsense and completely foolish, on the light of the Bible.

Modernists, in trying to be shrewd, say: "In the list of activity not approved of God there is the sin of fornication and adultery that also call for capital punishment, but in our society they are not punished at all, so why single out the homosexuals?"  Augustine once said that Hell has been created for people that asked such questions.  The answer is that all these sin are to be punished, not one excluded, and if the magistrates are negligent in performing their duties, it does not mean that the church must adapt to their rebellion. The church must not be slovenly, but must correctly proclaim the statutes of God, for this sin and for every other sin.

How should the penitent homosexuals be treated by the Church?
Like every other penitent sinner. They must be received in the compassion of Christ.  But, like Him, the church must be firm and honest on the sin and present the doctrine of God, clearly, truthfully and completely with fear and trembling, because we are standing only by the Grace of Christ Jesus: But sanctify" Isa 8:12,13 the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give an answer to everyone asking you a reason concerning the hope in you, with meekness and fear, (1 Peter 3:15)

The church must not compromise the Gospel of our Lord under any circumstance, or give the impression thereof. The church must preach Christ and Him crucified.  If they are in the grace of the Lord, they will be fully converted, and when converted they will utterly reject homosexuality and their changed behaviour will bring glory to God.  Of course, in the meantime, the church must watch over them, that they will not corrupt the youth of the church.

4. Homosexuality has to be condemned and punished by the Civil Government as a cancer in Society: And a man who lies with a male as one lies with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing; they shall certainly be put to death; their blood shall be on them. (Leviticus 20:13)

5. God is not enlarging the human view to accept homosexuality as normal behaviour, rather, God soundly condemns it, and not in uncertain terms for He is not changing His Law: Truly I say to you, Until the heaven and the earth pass away, in no way shall one iota or one tittle pass away from the law until all comes to pass. (Matthew 5:18 LIT) Has everything been fulfilled? Obviously not.  The Final Judgement has not been, as yet, and with that the times are closed.

6. Homosexuals can be received in the church as every other sinner, but without any compromise nor indication of tolerance to this abominable sin.  Of course the elders, and everyone, must watch that no one gets contaminated.

7. Homosexuality is a sin that God can forgive: And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11)

The One testifying these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:20)
