Abortion: the Greatest Crime Against Humanity

    aymon de albatrus

For He remembers them, the seeker of bloodshed; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted. (Psalms 9:12 )

And He said, What have you done? The voice of the blood of your brother cries to Me from the ground. (Genesis 4:10 )

Just a few days ago we saw about one million women vehemently protesting  in Washington against some proposal that would have slightly modified the law on abortion.

Abortion - Definition:
Interruption of pregnancy, Both natural or induced externally.  This article refers to abortion induced externally with the precise intention to expel the fetus from the body of the mother and to secure the death of the baby.

Abortion: The greatest evil against ourselves.
95% of all abortions are wanted only for reasons other than physical danger or of sickness.  They are always for pregnancy not desired.  They have made you believe a lie.  Not even animal kill their own offspring for these reasons.  And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long. (Genesis 6:5)

Is the Fetus a Human being?
Unborn babies are not lumps of useless tissue to throw away as those who promote abortion say, but the fetus is always a human being from fertilisation for the whole DNA code necessary to make all the aspects of an individual are present at conception.  This makes the fetus a human being, without any doubts.

All the arguments for and against abortion are based on this point:
Is the fetus a human or not?

But what are the observable facts before 11 weeks from conception?

At 18-25 days the heart beats already,

At 6 weeks the brain waves are present,

At 8 weeks the internal organs are functioning and fingerprints are visible,

At 9 weeks the fetus perceives pain,

The baby squints his eyes, swallows, can form a fist and smiles,

The baby moves and kicks,

The baby perceives heat, light and noises,

The baby sucks his thumb,

The baby weighs about 30 grams and he is about 8 cm long, could fit in your palm.

Question: is this just a lump of useless cells to be dumped in the rubbish?

12 weeks

Germany12 weeks
Italy13 weeks
Sweden18 weeks
UK24 weeks (soon may be reduced to 20 weeks)*
USlimits after 26 weeks
AustraliaNo limit

*UK wants to reduce the time because many babies survive the abortion at 24 weeks and have to be killed outside the mother's body that technically is homicide http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4634535.stm

What saith the Word about this?
As we have seen above, even science proves with the DNA that the fetus, since conception is a human being.  But what saith Scripture?  .... and his wife Rebekah conceived. 22 And the sons struggled together within her. ..... (Genesis 25:21-22To note that the twins (Jacob and Esau) not yet born and still in the womb of Rebekah are referred to as "sons, e.g. children" from the Hebrew banin that is usually referred to children already born or sons.

We see a similar passage in the NT: 41 And it happened, as Elizabeth heard Mariamís greeting, the babe in her womb leaped, and Elizabeth was filled of the Holy Spirit.  44 For behold, as the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped in exultation. (Luke 1:41,44The word used here for "babe" (John the Baptist that leaped of joy for the presence of fetus Jesus) is the Greek brephos that refers to a fetus or a baby just born.

There is no doubt that the Bible considers the fetus as a human being, even from conception.  David testifies of his sinful nature from the moment of his conception: Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. (Psalms 51:5)  Therefore he became a real person at the moment of conception, for only a person can have a sinful nature.  Moreover, David considered himself a human being from his conception

God knew Jeremiah in the womb of his mother: I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5

God called Paul by His grace in the womb of his mother: But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my motherís womb" and having called through His grace, Isa 49:1 (Galatians 1:15)

Why the Bible does not speak much about Premeditated Abortion?
Abortion was not a common thing (unlike today) and there was no need to give many rules about it, for these reasons:

  • For the Jewish woman (and also for the other nations, up to our days) it was a serious shame to be without children,  whilst now we do not want them, indeed, worse we actually kill them to protect our pleasures:
And Rachel saw that she did not bear to Jacob, and Rachel was jealous of her sister. And she said to Jacob, Give me sons; and if there is none, I shall die. (Genesis 30:1)
And even to vexation her rival
(of Hanna) provoked her, so as to make her tremble, because Jehovah had shut up her womb. (1 Samuel 1:6)
24 And after these days his wife Elizabeth conceived. And she hid herself five months, saying, 25 So has the Lord done to me in the days in which He looked on me to take away my reproach among men. (Luke 1:24-25)

  • Children are a gift of God and no believer would refuse His Gifts: 3 Behold! Children are an inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is His reward. ... 5 Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; .... (Psalms 127:3-5)

  • A pregnant unmarried woman would have been put to death for fornication, similarly for a woman that married not virgin: then they shall bring out the girl to the door of her fatherís house. And the men of her city shall stone her with stones, and she shall die; for she has done folly in Israel, to commit fornication in her fatherís house. And you shall put away the evil from among you. (Deuteronomy 22:21)

  • No Hebrew woman would have aborted for she would have broken the 6th Commandment not to kill a human being and she would have been put to death for killing: Whoever sheds manís blood, his blood shall be shed by man. For He made man in the image of God. (Genesis 9:6)

  • Finally the sixth commandment cover abortion very well, for the Word of God recognises the fetus as a person to all effects and thus premeditated abortion is homicide.  Only when the fetus is considered as a mass of useless cells that one enters in a contorted mentality, evil and satanic not being able to recognise the reality of things.

Which was the position of the fathers of the church?
You will not kill a child with abortion.  You will not kill that has been generated  (Epistle of Barnabas 19:%)

the Didache, a second-century catechism for young converts, states, "Do not murder a child by abortion or kill a newborn infant" (Didache 2.2).

Clement of Alexandria maintained that "those who use abortifacient medicines to hide their fornication cause not only the outright murder of the fetus, but of the whole human race as well" (Paedogus 2:10.96.1).

Defending Christians before Marcus Aurelius in A.D. 177, Athenagoras argued, "What reason would we have to commit murder when we say that women who induce abortions are murderers, and will have to give account of it to God? ...The fetus in the womb is a living being and therefore the object of God's care" (A Plea for the Christians, 35.6).

Tertullian said, "It does not matter whether you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to the birth. In both instances, destruction is murder" (Apology, 9.4).

Basil the Great affirmed, "Those who give abortifacients for the destruction of a child conceived in the womb are murderers themselves, along with those receiving the poisons" (Canons, 188.2).

Jerome called abortion "the murder of an unborn child" (Letter to Eustochium, 22.13).

Augustine warned against the terrible crime of "the murder of an unborn child" (On Marriage, 1.17.15).

Origen, Cyprian, and Chrysotom were among the many other prominent theologians and church leaders who condemned abortion as the killing of children.

The fetus, even tough enclosed in the womb of his mother, is already a human being, it is a monstrous crime to steal his life, that has not as yet began to enjoy.  Calvin

A child that has not been born yet is from his first moment a child.  He is a human and not a "thing", and he is not part of the body of his mother.  Karl Barth

The fetus generates his own blood and life is in the blood.  For the life of the flesh is in the blood, .... (Leviticus 17:11)

New Testament scholar Bruce Metzger comments, "It is really remarkable how uniform and how pronounced was the early Christian opposition to abortion."

Some statistic

In 54 nations (61% of world population) abortion is legal

In 97 nations (39% of world population)) abortion is illegal

Every year there are about 50 million abortions (known), about 126,000 abortion every years.  Numerically about the population of Italy is killed yearly.

In the second world war about 40 million were killed, 48M world wide.

About 1.6 million abortions every year, about 2M apply for adoption.

From 1973 (when abortion was approved) 42 million babies have been killed.

Abortion is legal for any reason, and for the whole 9 months.

Given reasons for abortion:

25.5%   want to defer children to after they had enough fun,

21,3%   cannot (or do not want) afford children

14.1%   one partner does not want children

12.2%   too young, pressure from parents to abort

10.8%   career reasons, or studies or more important things to do

7,9%   do not want more children

3.3%   fetus at risk

2.8%   mother's life at risk

1.0%   due to rape or incest

1.0%   anomalies with the fetus

95% of aborting are due to reasons of birth control and not for real physical reasons.

more than 75% of aborting women have employment outside home, the rest are at school

80% of abortion are to unmarried women.

Why are people so strongly in favour of abortion and defends it with drawn swords?
For at least these reasons:

  1. There is no fear of God in our society.  Abortion is murder according to the Word of God, but Satan through his best creation, democracy, has succeeded to have people believe in the lie that abortion has nothing to do with a real human being, but it is only a clump of unwanted useless cells,

  2. Again Satan through democracy and her daughter, feminism, has succeeded to put the woman on the highest pedestal and made people believe another lie, that is that the fetus is propriety of the woman when instead it is the propriety of God and He created the woman for this very function.  Moreover they justified abortion making people believe that abortion would have been performed only in the case of rape/incest or the mother's live was at risk.  The facts are that abortion due to rape/incest are only 1.0% of the total and for the mother's is risk just 2.8%.  They made people believe that abortion would have been done only below 3 months of pregnancy, the reality is that now abortion can be had up to the end of 9 months, and for any reason.  The facts are that 95% of all abortions are carried out for reasons other than health, rather for birth control so to enjoy life.

  3. This is what the Word says about these last times: 1 But know this, that in the last days grievous times will be upon us. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, braggarts, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural feeling, unyielding, slanderers, without self-control, savage, haters of good, 4 betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (2 Timothy 3:1-4)

Are there many voices raised up against the murdering of this enormous number of innocent victims? No, not many.  But we see the Spaniards that for the loss of only 200 lives on a train have raised a huge uproar, have dismissed a future government, have put the tail between the legs and ran home for cover.  We see international tribunals that condemn for crimes against humanity for a few thousands dead. We have seen the great tribunal of Nuremberg.  These tribunals are just and necessary.  But for the 50 million of defenceless victims killed every year are there tribunals defending them? Is there somebody that pleads their loss of life?  Maybe the governments?  No, indeed these pass law to make this murder legal.  Is there anyone?

Common abortion methods:

Saline: A strong salt solution is injected in the sack containing the baby within the mother's womb.  The little one swallows and breathes this solution, he gets slowly poisoned without any possibility of escape whilst he bravely fights back and has convulsion. It takes about one hour to kill the baby (does not always die), and the mother gives birth to a dead baby in a day or two.  If he is born still alive, the baby is thrown in a bucket till he dies.

Partial: The baby is extracted from the mother's womb upside down, legs first. When the head is visible scissors are jabbed in the nape (the back of baby's head) making a large hole.  Then the baby's brain is sucked out to collapse his skull in order to alleviate the delivery for the mother.

We Christian must be well informed and not follow fancy fantasies and lies, we must not accept the ways of the world, but proclaim the Word of God as it is.

  1. The fetus is a human right from conception because all the DNA code necessary to create the aspects of every person is present at conception,

  2. The notion that the fetus is nothing but but a lump of useless cells is false and must be rejected,

  3. The fetus is a human being and who murders him must render an account to God,

  4. The sixth commandment You shall not murder. (Exodus 20:13) is fully applicable to abortion,

  5. Historically, every father of the church has condemned abortion,

  6. The church and the believers must not close an eye, or both, on this awful act, but must denounce it as a the worse crime against humanity and the perpetuators must be punished as murderers of innocent,

  7. Abortion is not the unpardonable sin, but those who participate in it, the mother and who has carried it out, must confess this homicide to the Lord.

This is where Democracy, Feminism and Leftist men have brought us, but worse, the church's silence is deafening and this remains a mystery to me.

My Lord, I pray, come quickly, Amen.
