Rights vs. Responsibility

In our pursuit for individual human ‘rights’, we ignore moral and economic consequences and responsibility to home, family and community are abandoned.

Keen to give support for individual ‘rights’ Government legislation

Ø promotes easy dissolution of marriage only to find a disturbing correlation with increasing crime and escalating welfare expenditure

Ø promotes easy welfare assistance then staggers under its enormous tax burden

Ø devalues parental love by raising a new generation in subsidised ‘kiddie kennels’

Ø further devalues respect for marriage and family by affirming same-sex relationships

Ø promotes sex education & safe-sex, promising to eradicate unwed motherhood only to find an increasing need for medicare funded abortion and precipitating an epidemic of STD’s

Ø introduces drug education and pretended ‘needle exchange’ as a cover for ‘free distribution’. Then in despair, wonders why new diseases and drug deaths continue

Ø authorizes legal prostitution but spawning an expanding illicit ‘sex –industry’ and coming close to managing a State run brothel

Ø licenses gambling only to find the State becoming an addicted dependant itself

Ø introduces a whole catalogue of anti-discrimination statutes only to find adverse increases in such ‘crimes’

Ø increasingly prohibits smoking while claiming [for other issues] that prohibition never works

Ø promotes ‘multi-cultural’ policies only to find racial tensions increase

Ø encourages post-modern ‘moral’ relativism. Then sadly complains about moral illiteracy.

 

And so the paradoxical list continues!
